HONEY & ORANGE CHICKEN WINGS

Prep Time 5 minutes - Total Time 45 minutes - Serves 2

These are seriously Moorish and finger-licking good. I don’t think there is a better snack than wings, and they taste even better with a few cold beers.

The only problem with eating sticky wings is I feel like I need a shower after eating them hahaha.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of chicken wings.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 6 tbsps runny honey.

  • 2 large oranges, juice only.

  • 20 g of butter.

  • Chilli flakes to taste (optional).

Method

  1. Put all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan, mix and simmer for 5 minutes or till all the ingredients have come together.

  2. Place the chicken wings into a roasting tray, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Mix and roast at 180℃ for 30 minutes.

  3. After the 30 minutes are up remove the tray from the oven and turn up to 200℃ . Place the wings in a bowl and pour over most of the sauce and mix well, keeping some for later. Pour out all the juices from the tray then return the wings and roast for a further 10 minutes, give the wings a mix after 5 minutes. When the 10 minutes are up pour over the remaining sauce mix and roast for another 5 minutes.

  4. Once out of the oven sprinkle with some fresh herbs and a good pinch of salt.
