LENTIL MASALA DIP

Cooking Time 5 minutes - Makes 1

You only need four ingredients, a blender, and 10 minutes to make this super tasty dip. Forget about hummus, because this lentil dip is my new jam.

Ingredients

  • 400g tin of lentils, drained but save the water.

  • 1 tbsp of tikka masala spice paste.

  • 2 garlic cloves.

  • Juice from 2 limes.

Garnish

  • Olives oil.

  • Lime zest.

  • Sliced chillies.

  • Fresh chopped coriander.

Method

  1. First, pour the drained lentils into a blender. Add the masala pasta, garlic, lime juice, and a drizzle of olive oil (around 1 tablespoon). Don't forget to season with salt and pepper.

  2. Next, blend the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency. If it's too thick, you can add some of the lentil water. After blending, check the seasoning and garnish with a drizzle of olive oil, lime zest, sliced chillies, and freshly chopped coriander. Serve with pita or any bread you like.
