SPICED BAKED FRIES WITH A SPICY HONEY AND MUSTARD DIP

Updated: May 9, 2022

Prep Time 10 minutes - Total Time 40 minutes - Serves 2

What do you prefer, chunky chips or fries?

For me, it’s fries every time, unless it’s a chippy day.

Although these fries are baked and not fried they are still super crispy, a lot healthier for you and really tasty. Give them a go next time you fancy some chips/fries.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes.

  • 4 tbsp of oil.

  • 2 tsp of smoked paprika.

  • 1 tsp of ground cumin.

  • 1 tsp of coriander.

Dip Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp of mayonnaise.

  • 1 tbsp of yellow mustard.

  • 1 tbsp of runny honey.

  • 1 tbsp of hot sauce.

Method

  1. Cut the potatoes into fries, rinse under cold water then dry.

  2. Into a large roasting tray add the oil, spices, season and mix. If you feel it’s too thick add a little more oil. Tip in the fries and coat nicely in the oil.

  3. Spread the fries out so that they are not touching each other, if need be use 2 trays. Pop into a preheated oven set at 200° for 30 minutes or till cooked and crispy. Turn halfway. Once out of the oven give them a little sprinkling with some salt and garnish with some freshly chopped coriander.

  4. For the dip simply mix all the ingredients together.
